I hate, I despise your chapels?

Amos 5:21, "I hate, I despise your festivals, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies."

So, a swath of chapel plaster fell off the wall over the weekend. We're now worshipping in Seabury Lounge - our common room, just in case more starts to fall down. Perhaps God was commenting on our liturgical sensibilities? On our Episcopal devotion to common worship? Hard to say.

The funny thing is that workers just finished tuckpointing and sealing the steeple, and it was AFTER that that a chunk of wall tumbled down. Right onto the pew where the evening or morning prayer officiant usually sits.

Sorry! It was dark in there, and my flash wasn't doing the trick, so these are kind of blurry. But we've definitely had some excitement with the start of the year with this infrastructure collapse!
